The hotel was clean and comfortable, similar to a Holiday Inn, with everything in German including the fire instructions. The service was very friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent, just outside the historic center within walking distance to the city. The dining experience offered a plentiful continental selection. The facilities were modern and well-maintained.

The hotel is perched on a cliff with stunning views just outside the room. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but could benefit from some cosmetic updates, especially in the bathroom. While the bed was cozy for two, the top-floor room wasn't as impressive as the others. The service lacked friendliness and English proficiency, falling short for a 4-star establishment. The location, nestled on a moderate gradient at the top of the charming town of Monschau, offers easy access to restaurants and services but lacks a vibrant atmosphere. The dining experience, though continental in style, was disappointing with limited and repetitive options. On the positive side, the hotel provides tour and ticket assistance, pet amenities, and shops on-site.

The hotel had varied rooms, with one on the top floor being gloomy but the others were fine. We had power points to charge batteries and a fully opening window with a view over the car park and woodland on the flanks of the valley. The service was friendly and efficient, however, not very cooperative in solving issues. The location was great, just a short walk to the historical town of Monschau, with good quality restaurants nearby. The dining experience had a good selection of continental options but fell short of European standards. The facilities were disappointing in some aspects.
